Independence starts with everyday routines!
Ask Yourself: What daily skills can my teen do without any help? What skills will my teen do without being reminded? Consider the things that need to be done daily or weekly, such as personal care routines, laundry, cooking, and cleaning. If your teen lived in a dorm or an apartment, what would be getting done regularly?
Try This This Week:Talk to your teen about what skills would be best to start with, and practice those skills this week.
